Three Prime Branches Covering Alberta

Thermogenics serves Alberta through Prime Boiler Services. Prime has worked in Western Canada’s oil and gas, power, industrial and commercial sectors since 1991 and joined Thermogenics in 2026. Its head office is in Red Deer, with branches in Nisku for the Edmonton region and in the County of Grande Prairie for the Peace Region. The same local teams still run each branch, now with the wider group behind them.

Our teams handle sales, installations, repairs, service, parts and rentals. Each branch covers its own part of the province, and Prime also works across Saskatchewan, British Columbia and Manitoba.

Frequently asked questions

Questions from Alberta customers

Which Prime branch should my Alberta plant call?

Call the branch nearest you: Edmonton (Nisku) at 780-955-7787 for the capital region and the northeast, Red Deer at 403-346-8787 for central and southern Alberta, and Grande Prairie at 780-933-8550 for the Peace Region. All three provide 24/7 service.

Can you repair boilers and pressure vessels under ABSA rules?

Yes. Prime holds ABSA Certificate of Authorization Permit AQP-21130, a quality control system for repair and alteration of power boilers, heating boilers and pressure vessels, and for construction, repair and alteration of B31.1, B31.1 BEP, B31.3 and B31.9 piping.

We have a shutdown coming, or a winter breakdown. Can we rent a boiler?

Yes. Prime runs the largest boiler fleet in Western Canada, used for emergency backup, planned shutdowns and temporary heat. Tell us your load, pressure and fuel, and we will size the unit.

What does an Alberta winter do to our boiler plant?

It keeps boilers under heavy load for months, with January design temperatures of about -30 °C in Calgary and Edmonton and below -35 °C in the north. Condensate freeze-ups, makeup water and combustion air problems show up then. Many of these faults start outside the boiler, so before the season we check controls, water treatment and piping.
