British Columbia

How we cover British Columbia

Two Prime Boiler Services branches serve British Columbia. Our Port Coquitlam team, at 1833 Coast Meridian Rd. Unit 69, handles steam and heating sales, service, installation, water treatment and parts across the province. Our Grande Prairie team covers the Peace region from across the Alberta line. Prime has served Western Canada since 1991 and joined Thermogenics in 2026.

We repair and service steam and hot-water boilers, rebuild refractory on units from 25 HP to 5,000 HP, and modernize burners with low-NOx, O2 trim and digital combustion controls. We also work on pressure vessels and piping. When you need temporary steam or heat, Prime’s rental fleet is the largest in Western Canada. Many boiler failures start in the feedwater and condensate system, so water treatment is part of the work.

Frequently asked questions

Questions from British Columbia customers

Do you hold a Technical Safety BC licence for boiler repairs?

Yes. Prime holds Technical Safety BC Boiler Class A licence LBP0046618, covering repair and alteration of Sec I and Sec IV boilers and pressure vessels, plus B31.1 and B31.3 piping. Prime also holds Class A gas contractor licence LGA0100607, which includes B31.9 building services piping.

Can a rental boiler reach our plant on Vancouver Island?

Yes. Our Port Coquitlam team serves Nanaimo, about 3.5 hours from the branch including the ferry crossing. We size a unit from Prime’s fleet to your load.

Which branch looks after boilers in Fort St. John and Dawson Creek?

Our Prime team in Grande Prairie, Alberta, looks after both communities. Dawson Creek is about 1.5 hours from the branch and Fort St. John about 2.5 hours.

Will your crews come to a boiler plant in Kelowna?

Yes. Our Port Coquitlam team serves Kelowna, about 4 hours away by road, along with other Interior plants. Colder Interior winters put more load on burners, refractory and controls, so we recommend a pre-season check of the boiler and the equipment around it.
