Prime Boiler Services, now part of Thermogenics, has worked on steam and heating boilers across Western Canada since 1991. Our Grande Prairie team repairs, maintains, certifies and rents boilers for Peace River mills, oilfield sites and institutions.

Rental boilers & fleetAlberta’s pressure equipment is regulated by ABSA – The Pressure Equipment Safety Authority, under the Safety Codes Act and the Pressure Equipment Safety Regulation. Every boiler and pressure vessel must stay on a valid certificate, with inspections at the intervals ABSA sets, so Peace River owners plan shutdowns around inspection dates. We get boilers ready for inspection and work with the inspector when a repair needs acceptance.
January lows in Peace River regularly reach the -30s °C, and the heating season runs most of the year. Cold starts stress refractory and tubes, and frozen condensate or feedwater lines can trip a boiler. Schedule combustion tuning and low-water cutoff testing in the fall, before the cold sets in.
