Lloydminster straddles the Alberta–Saskatchewan border, so the rules depend on which side your plant sits. On the Alberta side, ABSA administers the Pressure Equipment Safety Regulation, and boilers and pressure vessels need a valid certificate and must follow ABSA inspection intervals. Saskatchewan-side equipment falls under TSASK. Because Prime holds approved repair programs with both, one team can handle plants anywhere in the city.
January lows here often drop below -30 °C, and a boiler outage in that cold can freeze lines quickly. Combustion air intakes, condensate returns, outdoor piping and feedwater systems all take a beating, and many winter failures start outside the boiler itself. That is why our maintenance programs and system audits look at the whole steam loop. Our rental units can also hydrotest pipelines down to -40 °C.
