Potash mining

Saskatchewan is the world’s largest potash producer. Solution mines and mills use large amounts of steam and process heat, so a boiler trip slows production.

Oil, heavy oil & refining

Heavy oil around Lloydminster and light oil in the southeast both depend on steam and heat. We work on the boilers, burners and pressure piping behind them.

Canola crushing & agri-food

Crushing plants and food processors need steady steam for production and cleaning. Water treatment and combustion tuning help keep efficiency up and cut unplanned shutdowns.

Hospitals & public buildings

Hospitals, universities and government buildings run central heating plants through a heating season of seven to eight months. Planned service before the season matters.

Frequently asked questions

Questions from Saskatchewan customers

Can we get emergency boiler help in Saskatchewan after hours?

Yes. Call 639-998-2537 and our Saskatoon team answers 24/7, then sends technicians to your plant. If a boiler can’t be returned to service quickly, a rental boiler can keep heat or steam on while repairs go ahead.

We’re in Regina. How far away is your Saskatoon branch?

Regina is about 260 km from our Saskatoon branch, roughly 2.5 hours by road.

Can you repair or alter TSASK-registered boilers and piping?

Yes. Our Saskatoon team repairs and alters them under Prime’s TSASK-approved quality control system, described above.

What should we have checked before a Saskatchewan winter?

Burners, controls, low-water cutoffs, refractory and water treatment, ideally in the fall. January design temperatures reach the mid -30s °C, so a winter failure can freeze lines and close a building quickly.
