Florida’s Boiler Safety Act, Chapter 554 of the Florida Statutes, is administered by the Boiler Safety Section of the Division of State Fire Marshal under rules in Chapter 69A-51, F.A.C. It covers construction, installation, inspection and repair, with a focus on boilers in public assembly locations, which describes many hotels and campuses here. We work as a Florida State Certified Mechanical Contractor, CM-C1249246.
On the coast, salt air does more damage than weather. It corrodes burner housings, casings, stack connections and electrical terminals, and it gets into flame safeguard and control cabinets, so our inspections look at the controls and venting as well as the boiler. With mild winters, boilers rarely get a seasonal rest. We plan inspections, gasket changes and refractory checks around each facility’s slowest weeks instead.
