Boilers in Charlotte fall under the North Carolina Department of Labor’s Boiler Safety Bureau, which administers the state’s Uniform Boiler and Pressure Vessel Act. State inspectors and commissioned insurance inspectors examine boilers and pressure vessels and issue certificates of inspection. We prepare equipment for those visits and correct the findings that come out of them.
Charlotte’s winters are mild, with heating design temperatures near 20 °F, and its summers are hot and humid. Many heating boilers sit at low fire or idle for long stretches, which leads to short cycling, condensate corrosion and sticking controls. Hospital and process boilers run all year in hot mechanical rooms that wear on burner controls and motors, so we check traps, condensate return and water treatment along with the boiler.
