Boilers and pressure vessels in Manitoba fall under The Steam and Pressure Plants Act, administered by Inspection and Technical Services Manitoba within the Office of the Fire Commissioner. Equipment is inspected before first use and periodically after that, and steam plants are generally inspected annually. Before an inspection we clean and tune boilers and test low-water cutoffs and flame safeguards. Afterward we repair any items the inspector flags.
