Who Serves Arizona Plants and How Coverage Works

High Desert Mechanical is the Thermogenics branch for Arizona. Our team is based in Apache Junction and works with industrial and commercial customers across the state in mining, healthcare, food and beverage, power and manufacturing. We joined Thermogenics in 2024 and kept the High Desert Mechanical name, now with the wider Thermogenics network behind us.

We cover all of Arizona from Apache Junction. Our technicians handle combustion tuning, controls, installation, pressure vessel repairs, fabrication, mobile welding and source testing. We supply parts and arrange rental boilers from the Thermogenics containerized fleet and partner inventory, so a plant can keep steam or hot water on while its own boiler is repaired.

Codes & inspections

Arizona Boiler Rules and ICA Inspections

The Industrial Commission of Arizona enforces the Arizona Boiler Rules through the ADOSH Boiler Safety Section. Since July 2017, certificate and in-service inspections are done by authorized third-party inspection agencies, and power boilers need an annual internal certificate inspection. We correct the findings with R-stamp repairs and alterations.

Frequently asked questions

Questions from Arizona customers

Is your emergency line staffed 24/7 across Arizona?

Yes. Emergency calls go to our Apache Junction team. Phoenix is about 40 minutes away, Globe about 1 hour and Tucson about 2 hours. We repair the failure and then track down its cause.

Does the state still inspect our boilers?

Authorized third-party inspection agencies now perform certificate and in-service inspections under the ICA Boiler Safety program. We repair what the inspector finds, including R-stamp repairs and alterations.

Can you get a rental boiler to my Arizona site during a repair?

Yes. We arrange rental boilers from the Thermogenics containerized fleet and partner inventory, matched to your steam or hot-water load. Our team can install the unit while we repair or replace your permanent equipment.

Do you send technicians to Flagstaff in winter?

Yes. Flagstaff is about 3 hours from Apache Junction. High-elevation northern Arizona has cold, snowy winters, so heating boilers there work far harder than those in Phoenix or Tucson. We recommend combustion tune-ups, low-water cutoff tests and flame safeguard checks before the cold sets in.
