Steam for the Globe–Miami district

Globe is the Gila County seat and the center of the Globe–Miami copper district, a historic mining region with active mines and smelting. Steam and hot water here support ore processing, regional health care, county buildings and community facilities on the neighboring San Carlos Apache Reservation.

Copper mining & smelting

Mines and smelters use steam and hot water for process heat, building heat and wash-down. We handle burners, controls, mobile welding, fabrication and code repairs on site.

Plantroom

Hospital & health care

A hospital depends on steam for sterilization, humidification and heat. We maintain boilers, feedwater systems and deaerators, and dispatch a technician when one goes down.

Circuit Court Legal System

County government

County buildings rely on boiler heat through cold winter nights. Maintenance agreements keep those boilers tuned and ready for inspection.

Large Luxury Retirement Habitations

Tribal facilities

Community buildings on the San Carlos Apache Reservation run on boiler heat and hot water. We service boilers from Cleaver-Brooks and Fulton to Lochinvar and Raypak.

What we do in Globe

Maintenance and repair in Globe

Maintenance & Inspections

Monthly, quarterly and annual maintenance agreements cover burner tune-ups, combustion analysis, flame safeguard and low-water cutoff checks, cleaning and steam trap surveys. Our visits also cover feed systems, deaerators and condensate return, since faults there often show up as boiler trouble.

Maintenance from Apache Junction

Boiler Repair

Our technicians troubleshoot burners and controls on Honeywell 7800, Fireye, Siemens and Autoflame systems, and handle retubing, refractory, pump replacement and piping repairs. As a National Board R stamp holder we make code repairs and alterations to boilers and pressure vessels, with mobile welding on site.

Repair services

Boiler Parts

Our service trucks are fully stocked, and we keep a parts inventory for repairs. We also help Globe plants order spare and critical parts ahead of time, so one failed component does not hold a boiler down while it ships.

Boiler Rentals

Through the Thermogenics network we supply containerized rental boilers firing natural gas, propane or No. 2 oil, plus partner inventory. They carry the load during outages, retubes and planned replacements.

Boiler inspections and winter conditions in Globe

The Industrial Commission of Arizona enforces the Arizona Boiler Rules through the ADOSH Boiler Safety Section. Since July 2017, authorized third-party inspection agencies have performed certificate and in-service inspections, and power boilers need an annual internal certificate inspection. We prepare boilers for those inspections and complete the repairs an inspector calls for.

Globe sits at about 3,500 ft and, unlike Phoenix, sees cool winter nights and frequent freezes. Boilers carry a real heating load, and exposed feedwater lines, condensate returns, low-water cutoff piping and outdoor equipment can freeze. Desert dust also loads burners and air intakes. We recommend a fall tune-up and freeze check before the first hard frost.
